Turning an idea into a workable Concept design. This phase is ‘big picture thinking without getting involved in technical detail. This stage of the process confirms the product requirements. Our designers know what problems need to be solved. This stage is an intensely creative stage of product development. It calls on our designers to consider all possibilities and be unafraid to think big.
Once a Concept Design has been approved / If you have an existing Concept CAD Assembly model, we can then move to ‘Detail Design’ the Components with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) in in mind.
DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURE (DFM / DFMA)
We can also provide a ‘Design for Manufacturing’ (DFM) Service for your existing / current or Concepted Product. DFM is the process of designing / Re-designing Parts, Components or products for ease of manufacturing with an end goal of making a better product at a lower cost. This is done by simplifying, optimising and refining the Product Design. Our team is highly experienced in this field and we can turn a working prototype / existing Design into an efficiently manufactured production working / fit for purpose unit.
RAPID PROTOTYPING & MANUFACTURE LIASION SERVICES
We can Provide an ‘In House’ or Contracted Rapid Prototype service using various techniques including 3D Printing / Machining / Vacuum forming etc to prove the Concept design.
Once the Design is completed if required, we can obtain quotes & liaise with our numerous affiliated Engineering Manufacturing suppliers to Manufacture the Design with Value Engineering & quality in Mind.

Value engineering is a systematic, organised approach to providing necessary functions in a project at the lowest cost. Value engineering promotes the substitution of materials and methods with less expensive alternatives, without sacrificing functionality.
TOLERANCE ANALYSIS
Tolerance analysis is the general term for activities related to the study of accumulated variation in mechanical parts and assemblies. Our team of Design Engineers will analyse the 3D Design & 2D Drawings and look at functionality at upper and lower limits in all manufacture scenarios. We can look at the best way to implement Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to BS8888 for your design
